Mission Statement
Our programs are designed to provide each student the opportunity to develop
technically and artistically by providing a full day of classes with renowned artists.
Both programs are designed to meet the needs of the individual dancer’s
development, assuring optimal success for each student. Class sizes are limited.
Typical Day
Both programs begin the day with either a floor barre, Pilates, stretch, or gyro class, followed by a technique class, a daily pointe/pre-pointe class, a daily variations class for senior male and female students, partnering class for senior students, a character or modern class as well as weekly lectures in dance history and other dance related topics. For our seniors, the day ends with a two-hour repertoire/choreography class. Private coaching is available to all students for an additional fee. Performance opportunities are available for our senior students. Parents are invited to view classes on the final Friday of our Junior program.
Weekend excursions will include a trip to Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Jacob's Pillow or to New York City Ballet.
Our Facilities
Festival Ballet Providence has 3 spacious studios with sprung floors, AC and large windows. We are conveniently located in a safe location on the historic East Side of Providence in walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops and boutique stores.

- Classes for serious pre-professional ballet students
13 years to pre-professional - Limited enrollment-maiximum 20 students per class
- Each guest artist teaches and coaches for one entire week
- Additional faculty include members of the FBP artistic staff
as well as Company Dancers - Private Coaching available
- Performance opportunities
FBP will select company trainees for the 2012-2013 season exclusively from students attending the four week program. Selected students must continue training for 2 additional weeks (July 30 to August 10).

This program is for serious ballet students, 10-12 years old, with a minimum of 2 years training. It is designed for students who wish to develop a stronger technical base in an artistically supportive and developmentally appropriate environment. Guided by School Director, Mary Ann Mayer, Summer Intensive Director, Cosmin Marculetiu, and FBP faculty students are challeneged toenhance their previously established dance training in a creative and nurturing setting.
