Aurimas Paulauskas was appointed soloist of the LNOBT immediately after graduating from the Vilnius Ballet School in 1995. In 1999 the Chairman of Friends of Lithuanian Ballet Society in Australia, Jurgis Zalkauskas awarded him with the personal Prize. In 2002 he became a diploma holder and received a special prize for musicality at the Perm International Ballet Competition. In 2004 and 2007 he received the “Operos Svyturiai“ award in the category of the “Male Ballet Soloist of the Year“. In 2005 he was awarded with the Golden Stage Cross for the role of Siegfried. He currently appears in the following leading roles: Siegfried (Swan Lake), Albrecht (Giselle), the Prince (The Nutcracker), Oberon (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Paris (Romeo and Juliet), the Partner (Red Giselle), a Soloist (Carmina burana), Prince Desiré (The Sleeping Beauty), etc. He has performed with the LNOBT's ballet troupe on tours in France, Greece, Egypt, Denmark, Holland, Italy and the USA.
