The SummerDance Workshop Program offers a comprehensive dance curriculum and is available in two non-residential sessions for students aged 9 to adults. The purpose is to enable dance students to continue their same level of training during the summer months. The Workshops offer a comprehensive classical ballet curriculum, including technique, pre-pointe, and pointe, as well as stretch, historical and character. Dancers will be placed in one of five levels according to their age and experience. Newly enrolling students are required to schedule a placement class prior to enrolling in this program. Classes are offered in two 3-week sessions, June 21st to July 9th, and August 9th to August 27th.
Classes will be offered Monday through Friday at a variety of levels, each offered one to three times a week. Hours of the classes is between 4:00 and 7:00 pm. Registration fee is $10. Tuition amount depends on length of class and number of classes taken per week. Information and registration packets will be available March 12th. Ages 9 - 10
Minimum 1 year ballet training
Ballet: Monday/Wednesday 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Tuition: $100 (either workshop), $185 (both workshops)
Class Level B
Ages 9 – 11
Minimum 2 years ballet training
Ballet: Tuesday / Thursday 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Historical: Tuesday 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Tuition: $130 (either workshop), $245 (both workshops)
Class Level C
Ages 10 – 13
Minimum 3 years ballet and one year pointe training
Ballet: Tuesday / Thursday 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Friday 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Pointe: Tuesday / Thursday 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Character: Friday 4:30 – 5:30 pm
Tuition: $200 (either workshop), $380 (both workshops)
Class Level D
Ages 12 and older
Minimum 4 years ballet and 2 years pointe training
Ballet: Monday / Wednesday 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Friday 4:00 – 6:00 pm
Pointe: Monday / Wednesday 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Character: Friday 6:00 – 7:00 pm
