Festival Ballet Providence to hold reunion; Seeks former dancers for 25th anniversary celebration.

Providence, RI - To celebrate the culmination of its 25th Anniversary Season, Festival Ballet Providence is seeking former dancers for an "alumni" reunion on Saturday evening, May 3, 2003, immediately following its performance of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and three world premiere dances at the VMA Arts & Cultural Center in Providence.

A committee of Festival Ballet alumni and friends is seeking current addresses for former members of the dance company—including apprentices and junior company members—as well as former staff and dancer family members interested in joining the celebration.

The reunion is planned in conjunction with the performance of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," which was originally choreographed by Festival Ballet co-founder the late Christine Hennessy, and which is being "set" by her daughter and former company dancer Elizabeth Corey DeFanti, who now resides in New York City.
