Festival Ballet Providence Center for Dance Education's Summer Dance Classes
Providence, RI - The Festival Ballet Providence Center for Dance Education announces summer dance classes for all ages and levels.
The Center for Dance Education is offering two three-week Summer Workshops, June 17th to July 5th and August 4th to August 23rd for ages 3 to adult. The classes include Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, Character, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Creative Movement and the Festival Ballet Workout. These workshops are designed to give regular dance students continuous training in the summer, and to introduce new dance forms to dance students.
The Center for Dance Education, under the leadership of Mihailo Djuric, is the official school of Festival Ballet Providence, Rhode Island's leading professional dance company, and is housed in the company's new state-of-the-art studios at 825 Hope Street on Providence's East Side.
Festival Ballet Providence is also offering its selective four-week SummerDance Intensive from July 8th to August 2nd, giving pre-professional intermediate and advanced dancers the opportunity to study in a daily intensive program, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The international faculty members are all professionals, many of whom have had careers on stage, and now pass on their knowledge to the next generation of dancers. This summer's faculty includes Festival Ballet'sVera Kurmasheva, Mihailo Djuric, Mary Ann Mayer, Ann Morsilli, James Brown, Audrey Monahan, Heidi Henderson; Boston Ballet's Paul Thrussell and Laura Young; and former Hamburg Ballet principal dancer Tomislav Vukovich.

The Festival Ballet Providence Center for Dance Education offers a comprehensive dance program for children and adults suitable for the professional, pre-professional and recreational dancer.
