We are so excited to have Emily Bromberg return to the FBP stage for Together We Dance 3 on Thursday. Emily was an FBP Company dancer from 2002-2006 and during that time she danced many leading roles and established herself as a confident and beautiful dancer.
She and her partner Shimon Ito – both of whom are now dancers with Miami City Ballet, one of the world’s leading ballet companies – will dance a pas de deux titled “Viscera.”
“I am very excited to see my old student, Emily Bromberg perform again,” Artistic Director Misha Djuric said. “I have known her since she was nine years old when I was teaching in New Hampshire. She has really grown into such a wonderful, mature ballerina.”
“After she left for Miami, I remember reading in the New York Times that [dance critic Alastair] McCaulay’s eye had dwelt on her,” Misha said. “When I read that, I smiled because I thought the same thing since the first moment I saw her in class when she was nine years old.”
Rhode Island audiences might remember her as Owen in the original cast of Viktor Plotnikov’s Widow’s Broom , The Sugar Plum Fairy in Mr. Djuric’s The Nutcracker, and Kitri in FBP’s Don Quixote .
Don’t miss a minute of the excitement at Together We Dance 3 tomorrow at 7:30 at The Vets!Share
